What you will be doing:

• Operating as a strategic business partner that will champion the development and implementation of strategies which facilitate business performance of the hotel.
• Responsible for timely and accurate production of monthly P&L and balance sheet to the consolidated reporting.
• Oversee daily internal audit process.
• Monthly forecasting.
• Leading and directing the team to deliver high quality finance support services.
• Create an annual operating budget for the property, whilst providing analytical support during budget reviews to identify performance and productivity opportunities.

What you will need:

• Understanding of state and federal legislation for tax, superannuation, long service leave and National Employment Standards.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Hospitality industry.
• Excellent accounting software user, desirable previous use of Zambion, PurchasePlus, Opera Cloud and sun.
• Thorough knowledge and experience of financial accounting principles and procedures including statutory responsibilities.
• Tertiary qualification in accounting and/ or Finance, Commerce would be advantageous.
• CA or CPA qualified.

Our Hotel

The Novotel & ibis styles Melbourne Airport is a dual-branded, 464-room hotel opened on 1 July 2024.

The Novotel Melbourne Airport with 248 rooms, and ibis Styles Melbourne Airport with 216 rooms, is located just steps away from Terminal 4, Melbourne Airport.
