Job Description - Disability Support Worker Gwandalan (NSW) - Unlimited Growth Potential

About the Role 

Zest Care is a proud part of Independence Australia Group and currently seeking for passionate and experienced Family Support Worker in Gwandalan
In this role you will provide:

  • FSW with experience dealing with 0-12 years old children.
  • Experience transporting children safely and installing car seats.
  • Contact Supervision.
  • Providing Respite for carers or parents.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Ability to write detailed and accurate contact reports for caseworkers.
  • Reliable vehicle, full Australian Driver’s Licence, car registration and comprehensive car insurance (non-negotiable).
  • Willing to travel to Wiseman’s Ferry – Penrith – Blacktown areas.
 
Shifts Available:

  • Monday to Saturday
  • Shifts between 9:00pm to 6:00pm
  • 4 – 6 hours shifts
  • Roster for the week is organised 1 week prior for availability.
 
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Diploma in Community Services and/or Diploma in Family and Youth Intervention. (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Family Sector or in OOHC is preferred.
  • Must have experience working with children.
  • High levels of empathy and engagement and the ability to express both professionally.
  • Demonstrated experience achieving positive outcomes for clients
  • Attention to detail and excellent observation skills.
  • Flexible attitude with a mature approach to work

  • Checks: Reference check, criminal check
  • Clearances – WWCC, NDISWC
  • Certificates - First Aid, CPR and NDIS Orientation
  • 3 COVID-19 Vaccination 
  • Full Driver's License 
  • Current Car Registration
  • Current Car Comprehensive Insurance
