We are on the hunt for experienced and dynamic person-centred Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in the Western suburbs. 

Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in the Western Suburbs. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals with disabilities in a supported independent living (SIL) arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing assistance with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.

Supporting clients (including clients with newborn babies) in developing and achieving their goals, including social, recreational, and educational objectives.

Facilitating community participation and inclusion through outings, social activities, and engagement with local resources.

Monitoring and documenting client progress, behaviors, and any changes in their health or well-being.

Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, family members, and other support workers, to ensure holistic care and support for clients.

Demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding while promoting independence and self-determination for clients.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker

Must be able to work with clients with newborn babies

Must be flexible to work various shifts including night and/or weekend shifts.

NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card)

Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Current police check conducted within the last 6 months

Current first aid and CPR certificate

Valid Australian driver's license (with a reliable and comprehensively insured car)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
