Dispatch Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Allocate trucks and liaise with drivers.
• Coordinate import and export of containers across the greater Brisbane metro areas.
• Ensure that drivers carry out the daily vehicle inspection before allowing any vehicle to travel on the road.
• Ensure that confirmation of daily vehicle is signed off on the drivers’ timesheets after the daily vehicle.
• Liaise with booking staff.
• Ensure container slot bookings are checked and are correct.
• Apply container numbers to slot bookings.
• Ensure import empty containers are de-hired before time allowed to handle the containers expires.
• Timely and accurate updating of our transport management system.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent communication, attention to detail, time management and customer service skills.
• High leadership skills.
• Organised, self-motivated and problem solver.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Accurate and timely data entry.
• Experience across the Microsoft suite.
