The Opportunity

BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator/Load Planner to join the Trade Coast Operations Team based in Eagle Farm. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. As a dispatch coordinator/load planner, you will plan, co-ordinate and control the dispatch of our products, ensuring high levels of customer service is met. You will be interacting with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain and sales. This role is integral in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of how we go about product load planning for delivery to our customers.

This role is a full-time role working Monday-Friday, working 10am-6pm. What Will You Do?

 In this critical role you will be responsible for:

• developing load manifests for dispatch operators, ensuring the most efficient and cost effective delivery schedules for our customers
• planning, coordinating and controlling inbound and outbound stock movement at the Trade Coast site
• leading and controlling inventory integrity within the site warehouse and ensuring accuracy of stock holding at all times
• accurate data entry in dispatching orders and expediting for incoming orders
• liaising with customer service, sales and operations teams, along with third-party transport providers
• upholding the high safety standards of the site predominantly with issues related to transportation, Chain of Responsibility and Load restraint compliance

More About You

 We are on the lookout for a dedicated team player who has the following:

• prior experience in a similar role, with a high focus on load planning

• the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• knowledge and experience of MS Office and SAP or similar ERP systems
• effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration with departments and teams
• a positive attitude and willingness to work within the team
• commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
