Distribution Book-in Supervisor

The Distribution and Reverse Logistics department is seeking a Distribution Book-in Supervisor.  Based in Parramatta, this role focused on logistics, customer relationship management, and continuous improvement in distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities 

Delivery Book-in Process

• Key Activities:
  • Training 3PL booking teams on client processes and ensuring adherence.
  • Managing customer databases for booking and delivery requirements.
  • Maintaining relationships with DHL teams and key stakeholders for seamless operations.
• Skills Needed: Process training, relationship management, database upkeep.

Cut-off Management 

• Key Activities:
  • Monitoring IT systems for timely order release and policy adherence.
• Skills Needed: IT systems proficiency, attention to detail, policy enforcement.

Carrier Selection 

• Key Activities:
  • Analyzing delivery costs and selecting optimal carriers for cost-efficiency and service.
• Skills Needed: Cost analysis, decision-making.

Coordination 

• Key Activities:
  • Coordinating B2B deliveries with specific requirements.
  • Ensuring communication aligns with dispatch policies.
• Skills Needed: customer service, dispatch policy knowledge, communication.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Collecting data for weekly and monthly KPI reporting.
  • Simplifying distribution management through analytics.

Continuous Improvement Planning

System Use (Daily Requirement)

  • Operating GTMS and GERP.
  • Managing master data related to routes and delivery schedules.

Position Scope

• Collaborate with managers across supply chain, sales, and logistics.
• Resolve exceptions and coordinate inquiries with 3PL logistics and carriers.
• Maintain policy compliance and organize shipments.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years in logistics, sales administration, or customer service.

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with integrated computer systems.
