In this role, you'll:
Working within our Suburban Services at Sydney Trains, the primary purpose of our District Maintenance Coordinator is to take responsibility for ensuring all Facilities Maintenance assets within a region or district are maintained to customer, WHS and Sydney Trains standards and requirements.
This role acts as the primary operational interface of the Facilities Maintenance Unit across the station and precinct environment to coordinate and deliver the provision of end to end preventative and corrective maintenance services to meet the needs of stakeholders.
About you
You will take responsibility to act as the primary operational customer interface point to ensure all assets within a Region or District are maintained to agreed standards.
You will proactively identify and instigate appropriate actions to resolve problems or issues with all assets by notifying the appropriate FM Service team, referring to an approved service provider or to an Asset Maintainer to repair or maintain assets as required.
You will manage the delivery of maintenance services as specified in Technical Maintenance Plans including conducting inspections, identifying and reporting on repairs and maintenance needs, responding to maintenance requests raised by staff and undertaking repairs and delivering minor maintenance work as required to restore assets and buildings to agreed standards.
You will manage maintenance work through all phases including planning, the development of scoping and delivery to produce high quality maintenance outcomes that meet project objectives and comply with Sydney Trains and Government procurement, probity and administration standards.
You will effectively manage and direct contractors and service providers to deliver maintenance services by specifying scope of works, briefing contractors, monitoring performance, assuring completion and quality of work and assessing value for money and asset outcome to ensure contractors meet agreed objectives that align to organisational requirements.
You will provide input into the scope of works definition and handover for projects to ensure maintenance implications are considered.
You will also conduct investigations into maintenance practices, allocation of resources, incidents and related maintenance matters to recommend new methods and improved procedures and practices to reduce maintenance costs and improve productivity.
