Our client is seeking an experienced Dotdigital Consultant to lead the end -to -end design, implementation, integration, and optimisation of customer journeys across email, SMS, and omnichannel touchpoints.
This role will combine strategic consulting, functional solution design, technical integration oversight, and quality validation to ensure a scalable, high -performing marketing automation ecosystem.
The consultant will work closely with marketing, CRM, digital, retail operations, IT teams, and external partners to deliver a fully integrated and optimised Dotdigital solution.
Lead end -to -end design of Dotdigital customer journeys across email, SMS, and omnichannel channels
Map current -state processes and define future -state automated workflows
Provide strategic guidance on:
Segmentation frameworks
Lifecycle marketing strategy
Automation logic
Personalisation approach
Translate business requirements into scalable Dotdigital configurations
Recommend best practices aligned to Dotdigital capabilities and industry standards
Analyse and define integrations between Dotdigital and existing systems including:
Infinity POS
Shopify
Okendo
Wishlist
Searchspring
Gorgias
Define:
Data flows
Field mappings
API requirements
Event triggers
Edge case handling
Ensure accurate syncing of:
Customer attributes
Orders & transactions
Reviews
Wishlists
Support interactions
Work with technical teams to oversee integration implementation
Oversee configuration of:
Automated journeys
Triggers and filters
Segmentation rules
Dynamic content
Personalisation tokens
Voucher and offer logic
Ensure correct setup of cross -channel orchestration
Validate automation logic aligns with defined business rules
Develop and execute test plans covering:
Journey triggers
Segmentation logic
Data sync accuracy
Event sequencing
Dynamic content rendering
Transactional communications
Perform end -to -end testing across systems
Validate API integrations and data accuracy
Log and track defects, ensuring traceability back to requirements
Support UAT and go -live readiness
Facilitate workshops across marketing, digital, retail operations, and IT
Provide clear documentation including:
Functional specifications
Process flows
Journey logic
Acceptance criteria
Act as the primary point of contact for Dotdigital best practice guidance
Ensure alignment across business and technical teams
Strong hands -on experience with Dotdigital (Journeys, segmentation, automation, integrations)
Experience designing and implementing omnichannel marketing automation solutions
Proven background in eCommerce and retail technology ecosystems
Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing
Experience working with APIs, event -driven integrations, and data flows
Ability to move between strategic consulting and technical detail
Experience supporting full lifecycle delivery from discovery to go -live
Shopify ecosystem experience
Retail POS integration exposure
Basic SQL or data validation experience
Experience working in Agile environments
