Driver Trainer – Bairnsdale (3 Month Contract)

Dyers are the leading Transport and Distribution Company established in 1932 are seeking a committed Driver Trainer to work with our great team of Drivers throughout the Gippsland region, at the conclusion of this three month contract the successful applicant will be given the option of remain working with us as driver. 

Reporting to the National Training & Compliance Manager, the core function of this hands on role will be out in the field training our drivers to ensure they meet the required level of compliance.  The successful applicant would ideally suit someone who is highly motivated, works well within a team environment and has the desire to train and mentor.

Duties include but not limited to.

• Induction training
• On road training and assessment
• Verification of competencies
• Adherence with all company policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Site Inspections & Risk Assessments
• Design Training and Development programs
• Participate in Incident and accident investigation and training follow up
• Conduct toolbox meetings relevant to procedure updates
• Maintenance & upkeep of training records
• Provide a range of reports to ensure agreed targets are met

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels within the organisation.
• Experienced change management and good decision making skills.
• Certificate IV in training and assessment with previous experience
• Current MC licence or willing to obtain 
• Strong background in Training and Compliance
• High degree of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Ability to assist in the development and maintaining training programs 
• Ability to maintain training records
