Transport Supervisor

• $85,000 per year plus super
• Large Waste Services Company
• Monday to Friday 7.00am-3.00pm
• Free and secured on site parking for all staff
• Smithfield or Kemps Creek location

We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and resilient Transport Supervisor to join a waste management transport company in Smithfield. You will demonstrate excellent organisational, time management skills and a personable disposition to keep a team thriving and a desire to excel. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to positively join a team and roll with the punches, be flexible to handle anything that might come their way and display resilience during busy periods.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Management of a team of company and owner drivers
• CoR and fatigue management conscious
• Hold a current HR license.
• Willing and proficient in waste collections vehicle operations
• Coordinating and assessing daily driver routes
• Asset management and record keeping
• Customer and driver communication
• Delivery of toolbox meetings
• Efficiency and process improvement implementation

Requirements

• 3 years operational experience within the waste management industry or similar
• An understanding of trucks and asset/small fleet management
• Supervisory experience of drivers and a small office team
• Strong PC and computer literacy skills
• Confidence engaging with all stakeholders including customers, our drivers and internal teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility
• Time management skills that are consistent and rigid
• A high level of attention to detail
