ABOUT THE ROLE

We offer permanent, full-time positions for team-oriented candidates who can also thrive independently. You will be a pivotal member of our drone operations team, working alongside seasoned professionals to ensure smooth mission execution, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance. As a Commercial Drone Pilot/Technician at XAG Australia, you will be instrumental in operating and maintaining our state-of-the-art drone fleet. This role combines technical expertise with hands-on operational tasks, offering a dynamic work environment that is both challenging and rewarding.

This position requires the flexibility to travel out of town. Early morning starts should be expected as well as some weekend work. 

As we are governed by weather conditions to complete our operation flexibility is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct pre-flight checks, equipment setups, and post-operation pack-ups.
• Handle chemical mixing, battery management, cleaning, and maintenance of aircraft.
• Comply with all internal and industry regulations.
• Maintain inventories of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Provide technical support to our customer base, resolving issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Gather and report feedback to inform product development and enhancements.
• Responsible for the overall readiness determinations of Drones / Robotics
• Represent XAG Australia professionally during customer interactions and at public events.
• Delivering Quality professional services to Client

Additional Duties:

• Assist in sales and marketing efforts through product demonstrations and customer engagement.
• Collaborate on research and development projects to innovate and improve our drone technologies.
• Generate detailed flight analysis reports and ensure the overall readiness of our equipment for operations.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with drones or remote-controlled aircraft highly desirable.
• A current ACDC (chemical certificate) or experience in agriculture is highly regarded.
• Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in learning new software and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in dynamic environments and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of electronics/electrical systems is an advantage.
• Must have an Australian Driver's License and be willing to work weekends.
