Duty Manager/Night Manager - Continuous Learning Opportunities

As a Duty Manager/Night Manager of The Victoria Hotel, you will lead and oversee the day to day running of the Front Office department ensuring our guests have exceptional experiences. You will collaborate with all departments, including but not limited to: Senior Management, Reservations, Revenue, Housekeeping, Sales, Maintenance and all Food & Beverage; to execute stunning service to our guests.

The Duties & Responsibilities

• To represent the face of the hotel to be able to offer an enticing, warm welcome to all guests entering The Victoria Hotel
• To keep abreast of current Melbourne trends, experiences and product knowledge to create a customized experience for your guests every time
• Effective organisational communication with other departments.
• Directing and overseeing reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities.
• To maintain a proactive and positive approach to the role in order to achieve success.
• Review and manage rosters to ensure adequate staff for the daily operations of daily shifts. 
• Accurately identify any discrepancy, which exists between revenue and payments.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Overseeing daily accounting and purchasing activities.
• To anticipate and exceed our guest’s desires at all times

About You:

The successful candidate needs to possess the following experience and skills:

• You have an outgoing personality, positive attitude and loads of initiative
• You are eager to grow your skill set and learn about hotel's to grow your career
• At-least 2 years previous experience in Duty Manager/Night Manager role.
• Qualification at least a Bachelor in Hospitality Management  
• Looking for someone keen to advance their Hotel career to develop into a higher role in the future
