Early Career Pathway - Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you don’t need previous insurance experience. We’ll teach you everything you need to know. You’ll learn how to update customer insurance policies, support renewals, and build valuable workplace skills using our systems and training. It’s a great opportunity to gain real experience, confidence, and a recognised qualification while getting paid.

Learn on the Job and Get Qualified
You’ll develop your skills through real work, guided closely by experienced team members.

In your first six months, you’ll complete a nationally recognised qualification – the ANZIIF Tier 2 General Insurance Compliance Certification. This training is:

• Fully paid for by WFI


• Completed onsite at our WFI office


• Supported with hands‑on, supervised training

Once you’re settled into the role and feeling confident, there may be opportunities to move into hybrid working arrangements, depending on business needs.

This is a 12‑month maximum‑term, full‑time role, based in Naarm (Melbourne), working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

You’ll join IAG with extra support through our Early Career Pathways to help you build skills, connect with other early career employees, and plan what comes next. Through structured learning, personalised development and real hands-on experience, we’ll help set you up for success whether you’re‑ a high school leaver or have limited to no prior experience.

What You'll Do

• Provide helpful, professional support by completing policy updates such as renewals, changes, and payment follow‑ups.


• Use your training and tools to assess policy details and make decisions that follow our underwriting guidelines.


• Keep accurate, high‑quality records and documentation to support smooth customer and team experiences.


• Work closely with your team to manage tasks, organise workflows, and ensure policy requests are completed efficiently.


• Communicate clearly with internal teams and occasionally with customers to help finalise policy updates or answer simple enquiries.
