About the Opportunity

Join our St Luke's Long Day Care & Kindergarten and use your knowledge, skills and experience to deliver quality education and care. Feel valued for your contribution and play a part in our culture of GROW (Genuine, Respectful, Open and Welcoming). At St Luke's we provide care for children from six weeks old, for up to a maximum of 78 children. 

Hours: Part-time and Full-time available. 
Remuneration: Enjoy 10.25% above award wages, Level 3.1 to Level 3.4, depending on qualifications and experience and as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
• Participate in professional and personal development.
• You will be pivotal in developing our children's lifelong love of learning.
• Can build a strong rapport with our families, educators, and community.  

Job Requirements:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential 
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks. 
• A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 months -Kindergarten aged in a play-based learning environment. 
• Effective workplace communication skills
