Job Description - Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical and Communication design consultants with over thirty years in the industry specialising in subdivision, public lighting, large customer connections (for tier 1 builders and developers) and Energex and Ergon panel work, is looking to add an Electrical Designer to their ever-growing team.

Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise, coordinate and participate in the design team to ensure timely and accurate engineering solutions, integrated designs, and estimates for assigned large customer connections, underground and overhead supply, public lighting, AS3000, and telecommunications projects
Lead, participate in, and support a specialist team providing design engineering consultancy services, ensuring coordination of multidisciplinary design production, liaison with key stakeholders
Assist in mentoring and training other Lines Engineering & Distribution Design team members
Assist in the preparation of engineering specifications inclusive of assessment of tenders for Design, Construction, materials and specialist consultancy services

Skills required:

Extensive experience in distribution, subdivisions, large customer connections, road Lighting and traffic Signals experience
Design experience involving Ergon and/or Energex
Comprehensive knowledge of overhead and underground LV to 66kV network standards
Residential (URD), Rural Residential and Commercial and Industrial Subdivisions design capability
RPEQ status would be looked upon favourably
Excellent time management, advanced verbal, and written communication skills.
