Electrical Engineer - Resources + Industry

As a result of a significant project pipeline, AECOM’s Resources and Industry team has upcoming opportunities for Electrical Engineers to join the team to support the successful completion of a range of projects across the region.

Working as part of a dynamic, consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of large multidisciplinary projects within the Mining, Industrial and Transport sectors.

Our team of industry experts and network of technical specialists will support the development of your technical and project management capabilities, giving you the opportunity to work across all project phases from studies through to detailed engineering and execution. Working across mining, minerals processing, chemicals, defence and transport will give you a broad exposure and help build your career.

We have a diverse growth opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Resources + Industry team in Brisbane.

In this role, you will contribute to technical delivery, team collaboration, and project excellence across a diverse range of defence, mining, industrial, transport, buildings projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.

You’ll be involved in all phases of project delivery, including:

• Design and deliver electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of engineering projects.
• Develop drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant designs.
• Assist with cost estimates, procurement, and project delivery activities

• Provide technical support during construction, testing and commissioning.

What you will bring

As an Electrical Engineer you will have:

• Demonstrable project exposure (ideally 3-7 years) as an Electrical Engineer in Engineering or Construction environments.
• Proven experience to Australian Standards, ideally within major mining, heavy industry, buildings, industrial or transport projects,
• Experience providing engineering design from concept through to detail
• Prior project experience in electrical design, construction and commissioning, across LV/HV power distribution and control, LV motor control and control systems (including PLCs and SCADA).
