The Role

A rare opportunity has become available for a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team based at our Lonsdale manufacturing facility.

This important role will focus on ensuring our plant and equipment are maintained to optimal efficiency and reliability. As an experienced electrical technician, you will bring to the team the skills required to deliver on maintaining and troubleshooting  pneumatic systems, electrical fault finding, and reporting on equipment malfunctions including the use of PLCs. 

Maintaining and fixing equipment including fault finding and prompt responses to breakdown call-outs on-time, are all integral requirements for this role. 

Responsibilities include:

• Report any equipment malfunction as soon as practicable and make recommendations on corrective action required
• Apply best work practices to maximise productivity and efficiencies and minimise equipment or plant downtime
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and general machinery activities
• Fault finding, breakdown events
• Assist on factory shutdowns
• Provide support and knowledge to internal clients as requested

To be successful in this role you will be experienced in:

• Trade qualified in Electrical discipline with experience in manufacturing 
• Pneumatic systems (highly desirable) 
• CNC controllers (highly desirable)
• Working in a manufacturing or maintenance environment
• Applying Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
• Troubleshooting and proposing solutions
• Work outside normal working hours (should it be necessary)
• Excellent communication skills 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Collaborating with internal customers
