We are recruiting qualified Electricians / Electrical Technicians seeking to join the Renewable Power Generation industry sector, to provide commissioning and in-field technical support to Ingeteam Power Stations, Inverters and Control Systems installed at grid-connected solar farms across Australia. Full technical training provided.

The head-office is located in Wollongong, NSW and provides remote support to solar farms under-construction as well as energized & grid-connection. You will regularly attend site, typically a 2:1 rotation, with “Living Away from Home” and generous meal allowances, as well as interstate travel to site as required. In the future, and for those demonstrating passion and drive, there is the potential to travel to the Head Office in Spain for technical training & professional development.

ROLE

• Commissioning of power stations, inverters and associated HV power generation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and drive corrective actions during performance validation for each site including component replacement and shade analysis.
• Provide troubleshooting and repair of operational solar farm electrical equipment including, single phase AC circuits and DC circuits.
• Setup monitoring and communications configuration on site utilizing various computer interface programs including tracker commissioning.
• Perform minor equipment repairs, as directed.
• Accompanying and supervising sub-contractors on site.
• Adhere to all WH&S policies and procedures on site, according to Ingeteam protocols.

YOU
Will have electrical trade qualified experience and your knowledge and skills should include most (if not all) of the following;

• Current Electrical Licence.
• Current White Card.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Experience with power conversion systems, ideally power conversion inverter systems and/or Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) or VVVFs / Soft-Starters (desirable not essential).
• Suitability fit & healthy and able to work outdoors in remote, sometimes extreme climate.
• Strong culture and awareness of safety systems and procedures.
