  • Department and location: Emergency Department (ED), St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst
  • Salary: $71,072.43 - $73,287.41 + super + salary packaging

About the role

  • Deliver a welcoming and professional experience for patients, families and visitors in a busy Emergency Department.
  • Manage patient registrations, admissions and record updates with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support efficient patient flow by coordinating real-time movement and status updates across the department.
  • Handle billing, funding and payment processes to ensure accurate patient account management.
  • Partner with clinical teams to provide high-quality administrative support that helps deliver outstanding patient care”

About you

  • perienced in delivering exceptional customer service within a busy healthcare, hospital or high-volume service environment.
  • A confident communicator who can engage professionally and empathetically with patients, visitors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, excellent data entry skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems, with intermediate Microsoft Office skills and a high level of computer literacy.
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to perform effectively under pressure while contributing positively to a 24/7 team environment.

About the hospital

In this role you will be based at St Vincent’s hospital, Darlinghurst.

  • A busy inner-city hospital in a beautiful location
  • Surrounded by great cafes, galleries and theatres, parks, nightlife, and nearby glorious beaches
  • A place of expert clinical care for at-risk people
  • Closely partnered with universities & affiliated research institutes, many of which are located on-campus
  • Centres of excellence include heart & lung transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, cancer care, AIDS/HIV, respiratory medicine, mental health, homeless health, drug & alcohol services, and correctional health
