About our ED team




Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department is seeking Critical Care trained Registered Nurses.  




Box Hill Hospital Emergency Department cares for over 70,000 patients annually, with an average of 195 presentations per day. In addition to emergency care, we provide a 24 bed Short Stay Unit for initial care of selected conditions up to 24 hours.  




As a member of the Box Hill Emergency team, you will be part of a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team incorporating medical, nursing, clerical and allied health professionals.  We pride ourselves on providing our patients with timely access to high-quality care. We are a diverse and gender-friendly team, and place high importance on our self-care and wellbeing.  


 




About you




To be successful in this role you will possess: 





  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA

  • Completion of Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care (or equivalent)

  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

  • A strong commitment to high quality care

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Emergency Nursing experience

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
