Employment Consultant

Total Workfit Solutions (TWS) is Tasmania’s largest injury prevention and workplace rehabilitation provider, and we are aiming to enhance our employment services for people recovering from workplace injuries.

Founded and based in Tasmania, TWS has established a strong reputation for having a highly skilled team of allied health professionals, with extensive knowledge of state-based industries. TWS’s clients range from insurers, State government, local government and small, medium and large enterprises, and is approved by WorkCover Tasmania as a Workplace Rehabilitation Provider.

This is a great opportunity for a proactive and energetic Employment Consultant based in Hobart to connect with workers recovering from workplace injuries to help them secure meaningful employment in the open labor market.

As part of your role you will:

• Empower, coach, and inspire your clients to pursue meaningful work while enhancing their job-seeking skills.
• Support and guide your clients throughout their job-seeking journey within a structured framework.
• Identify suitable employment opportunities that align with your clients' skills and abilities.
• Assist clients in accessing paid placement opportunities.
• Conduct labor market research, pinpoint employment gaps, and build a network of employers to create on-the-job training and employment options for your clients through host placements and paid roles.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders in the workers' compensation system while promoting the skills and talents of individual job seekers to appropriate employers.

You will bring:

• Experience in employment services or recruitment
• Familiarity with Worker’s Compensation and Injury Management, or a willingness to learn
• Understanding of the local labor market in Tasmania
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
• Capacity to multitask with excellent time management abilities
• A proactive attitude, taking pride in delivering quality work
• A valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel
• Are currently based with working rights in Hobart, Tasmania.
