We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Employment Relations Advisor to join our People, Safety & Culture team in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney office on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of consistent, compliant and pragmatic employee relations outcomes by managing workplace cases, advising leaders, and strengthening Employee Relations practices to mitigate risk.
As part of a specialist ER function, this role offers significant ownership, visibility and the opportunity to operate as a trusted advisor across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end employee relations cases including disciplinary, performance, grievance and misconduct matters across a broad and complex stakeholder group
Provide commercially sound, practical ER advice to leaders and P&C Business Partners aligned to legislation, policy and enterprise agreements
Conduct thorough workplace investigations, ensuring procedural fairness and well-supported outcomes
Draft clear, high-quality and defensible documentation including allegations, findings and outcome correspondence
Maintain accurate case management records and contribute to ER reporting, insights and continuous improvement initiatives
Support Fair Work conciliation preparation and represent the business in appropriate matters, escalating higher risk or sensitive issues as needed
Your Background
Strong experience in employee relations or HR business partnering roles with demonstrated ownership of complex or sensitive workplace matters
Solid working knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work framework and enterprise agreement interpretation
Proven capability in conducting investigations and managing cases independently from start to finish
Sound judgement with the ability to balance compliance, risk mitigation and pragmatic business outcomes
Highly developed stakeholder management skills with the confidence to coach, influence and challenge leaders
Resilient, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a lean team where autonomy and accountability are essential
