Bard Engineering is a well-established Australian company that has serviced the Australian and international mining and support industry for over 30 years.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Archerfield-based team focussing on mechanical and control system engineering of heavy mining equipment. You will be working with a highly skilled team of Engineers developing and improving our products, production processes, and equipment, that is manufactured in house with close ties with the workshop.

Description

Designing, developing, and enhancing heavy mechanical systems to meet demanding applications.
Working within a close knit project team.
Conducting research, validating & documenting findings.
Identifying areas of potential improvement in the manufacturing process and making recommendations.
Understanding client briefs and developing robust solutions.

Qualification and Experience

The ideal candidate would have most of the following:

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years 3D modelling experience using Solidworks & data management systems (PDM) / CAD 2D drafting.
5+ years of heavy mechanical design experience, referencing relevant Australian Standards.
Proficient in the application, interpretation and validation of FEA output.
Technically literate with a high level understanding of manufacturing processes.
Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems, components and circuit design.
Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills.
Ability to lead project design teams.
High level of attention to detail.
Experience with ELV control systems.
Self-motivated and open to continuous learning and improvement.
Excellent customer service.
Must have Australian Work Rights.
