Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Superintendent, you will be mentored by some of the best in the business to support and drive the mining operations. You will be responsible for continuous improvement projects through the application of Reliability Centred Maintenance analysis to optimise equipment reliability and lower maintenance cost.
About the Role
Support the Operation through the proactive improvement of maintenance strategies and tactics to prevent unplanned failures.
Complete analysis of downtime data to identify emerging reliability trends.
Undertake Root cause analysis of failures to determine appropriate solutions to prevent recurrence.
Implement practical solutions through specific and costed asset improvement initiatives.
Contributing to a supportive team culture that embraces change and process improvements.
Roster and Location
Permanent, full time.
Monday to Friday roster (Day shift).
Based on site at HVO North (off Lemington Road).
About You
Engineering Degree / Diploma (Mechanical or Electrical preferrable).
Completion of Frontline Management qualifications and S1, S2 and G2 training will be highly regarded.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence & liaise with key stakeholders.
High level attention to detail and record keeping skills.
Sound working knowledge of SAP and Asset Management systems.
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Software
Strong commitment to a culture of safety, teamwork and innovation.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) produces some of the world’s highest quality thermal and semi-soft metallurgical coal for export. Our operation comprising of HVO North and HVO South – are in Lemington near the NSW Upper Hunter town of Singleton.

Our operation contains two Coal Handling Preparation Plants (CHPPs) and two train loadout facilities and produces a combined 14 million tonnes (Mt) of annual output of thermal and semi-soft coal.
