Engineering Plant Manager - Get Hired Fast

About the Role:


Currently seeking an experienced Plant Engineering Manager to join the senior management team of a market leading pork processing facility in Kingaroy QLD. As a key leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering, continuous improvement, and maintenance operations for the plant. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize factory reliability, minimise downtime, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership and support to the Maintenance Manager and team
  
• Develop and implement a Plant Maintenance Strategy and long-range plans
  
• Ensure continuous improvement strategies and objectives are met
  
• Manage capital expenditure and maintenance budgets
  
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  
• Develop and maintain systems to minimize plant downtime and optimize reliability
  
• Lead and develop a team of approximately 30 trade, planning, and services team members
  

Requirements:

• Lean manufacturing experience, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt desirable
  
• Degree, Diploma, or higher trade qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering
  
• Proven leadership skills and experience
  
• FMCG background, preferably in food manufacturing production
  
• Excellent communication and project management skills
  
• Experience with budgeting, CAPEX, and plant design
  
• Advanced MS Office, CAD, and MEX skills preferred
