Newlands Coal is looking for a motivated Engineering Superintendent to join our Maintenance and Engineering Team. Operating as an Open Cut Mine until February 2023, we have now finished coal production and are progressing ahead to new and exciting times. We strive to be industry leaders as we transition to be Queensland’s largest rehabilitation project.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• The success of the business performance through the management of maintenance strategies, reliability and engineering functions

• Leading safe delivery on engineering, compliance and continuous improvement projects by optimising activities and continually improving the performance of Assets.

• Coordinating effective planning and scheduling.

• Development and overseeing of the maintenance budget

Requirements of the role include:

• Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated success in leading teams to achieve high levels of equipment availability, safety compliance and meeting work management KPIs

• You will possess relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or extensive experience in a relevant Engineering discipline.

• Strong communication skills

• Overriding commitment to health, safety and environment responsibilities

• Ability to identity and improve processes, people and machinery efficiency.
