English Teacher

A full-time temporary position within a well-established private school educating students from prep to year 12. Based in Darwin for a Teacher, General Teacher, Literature Teacher, or English Teacher interested in the education of our next generation in the English language.

• Requires Degree in Education & related teaching qualification
• Salary depends on experience  
• Darwin NT 

A normal day includes 

• Teach English classes for students between Years 7 - 9 
• Implement effective teaching and learning practices to motivate and engage students.
• Design and develop programs following the school's curriculum and integrate the use of technology into the classroom. 
• Adhere to the school's code of conduct and discipline program to help provide a safe and supportive environment 
• Establish positive relationships with the students and actively support their personal development. 
• Engage with the parents and the wider community promoting the school's philosophy of holistic education.
• Take part in the school's learning activities and contribute to the school's culture.

You will need 

• Degree in education & related teaching qualification. 
• Teacher registration within the Northern Territory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Working with children's check. 
•  Police check.
