We are more than a securities exchange!

The ASX team brings together talented people from a diverse range of disciplines.

We run critical market infrastructure, with 1 in 3 people employed within technology. Yet we have a unique complexity of roles across a range of disciplines such as operations, program delivery, financial products, investor engagement, risk and compliance.

We're proud to foster a workplace where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is part of our everyday culture. Our employee-led networks champion LGBTIQ+ inclusion, promote gender equality, accessibility and wellbeing, inspire giving and volunteering, and celebrate cultural and religious events, creating a sense of belonging for all. As an AWEI Bronze employer and member of the Champions of Change Coalition for gender equality, we're committed to a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

Your Team

The Enterprise Customer & Operations team (EC&O) enables ASX to run better. This is through improving customer experiences and interactions, delivering simplified processes and services, integrated delivery planning and capability, and driving consistency of standards.

The Enterprise Enablement (EE) team within EC&O is responsible for providing enterprise capabilities and frameworks, that enable and govern change, transformation, delivery, strategy execution, customer products, data management and process mapping.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the Enterprise PMO (EPMO), including management of a team of analysts responsible for day-to-day portfolio activities such as RAIDs, reporting and support requests.

  • Maintain enterprise-wide oversight of the change portfolio, with a strong focus on portfolio health, systemic risks, delivery dependencies and capacity constraints.

  • Focus on ongoing process improvement and continuous uplift of EPMO practices and ways of working. Collaborate and work closely with the ADF Transformation team to support the evolution of the ASX Delivery Framework.

  • Develop and apply a deep, working understanding of the ASX Delivery Framework (ADF) to inform portfolio oversight, guidance and decision-making.

  • Evolve practices to incorporate persistent teams and continuous delivery ways of working

  • Actively drive adherence to and compliance with the ASX Delivery Framework, working with delivery teams to identify gaps, address issues and uplift maturity.

  • Build a deep understanding of the Enterprise portfolio and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders. Identify, analyse and surface portfolio-level risks, issues, dependencies and compliance themes, enabling early intervention and informed prioritisation/sequencing.

  • Provide advisory support to program and project managers, helping teams navigate delivery challenges while reinforcing framework expectations.

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across delivery portfolios, enabling effective collaboration and open sharing of insights.

  • Establish and foster portfolio and delivery communities, facilitating sharing of lessons learned, emerging risks and leading practices across ASX.

  • Capture and promote lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunities to enhance portfolio performance and delivery maturity.

  • Support portfolio-level governance, compliance and reporting, ensuring accurate, decision-focused information for Executive and Board-level forums.

  • Work with Finance and project team on budget oversight

  • Engage constructively with stakeholders and communicate clearly and proactively to support alignment and effective outcomes.

  • Contribute to a collaborative Enterprise Enablement culture by role-modelling ASX values and actively breaking down silos.

  • Work across teams and divisions to share knowledge, resolve issues and improve end-to-end enterprise outcomes.

  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and the ability to coach, develop and support others.

  • Operate effectively in ambiguous and changing environments, managing competing priorities and trade-offs.

  • Demonstrate curiosity and build a deep understanding of the role's function and the broader ASX context.

  • Prepare high-quality Executive and governance papers, briefings and updates, tailored to audience and governance needs.

  • Engage with senior leaders across Enterprise Customer & Operations and other divisions, and Boards or senior forums where relevant to role scope.

  • Undertake other activities reasonably required to support the effective operation of the Enterprise Enablement function.

Your experience and qualifications

Must have

  • Tertiary qualification in business, delivery, portfolio management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading or operating within an enterprise PMO or portfolio management function, including people leadership.

  • Strong experience providing portfolio-level insight, including managing risks, dependencies and delivery impacts across multiple initiatives.

  • Practical experience supporting or advising program and project managers in delivery environments

  • Proven working knowledge of enterprise delivery frameworks, with the ability to drive understanding and compliance.

  • Experience operating in regulated or highly governed environments, supporting compliance and reporting requirements.

  • Experience preparing portfolio-level reporting for executive or senior governance forums.

Nice to have

  • Experience working within enterprise delivery frameworks or operating model transformations.

  • Exposure to strategy execution, investment prioritisation or workforce planning.

  • Experience building or leading communities of practice or delivery forums.
