Our company is experiencing steady market growth across all divisions. We are currently seeking a result-driven and motivated Entry Level Service Technician to join our team in Southwestern Sydney, NSW.

The role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will provide field services to our clients to ensure our parking equipment is repaired, installed and maintained. 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field repairs on parking access and building access systems, software and/or hardware related.
• Troubleshoot and correct problems on devices/equipment, down to board level.
• Correct/fixes; minor to complex software issues on parking/access systems.
• Understand and troubleshoot the entire setup of the parking equipment environment.
• Properly identify all network devices on a LAN (router, modem, switch etc.)
• Works with engineers to set up/configure firewall, router and other network devices.
• Provides good effective customer service to customers.
• Properly identifies when engineer-level support is needed. Work closely with peers and support team to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Effectively execute troubleshooting instructions from engineer-level support.
• Properly maintain vehicle status and maintenance, as required.
• Properly maintains his/her inventory levels, by properly transacting in CRM system.
• Properly communicates with service coordinator, advisors and service management team.
• Responsible for transactions for assigned SROs in CRM system on a per SRO basis (parts and labour), also including maintenance checklist.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance – scheduled inspection, cleaning, lubricating and adjusting of the equipment.
• Participate on a rotating On-Call roster - (Call Out Remuneration provided)
• Uphold KPI and SLA targets that may be customer specific.
• Comply with company Work, Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines.
• Apply effective time management principles.
• Other duties, as assigned.

What you’ll need 

The successful applicant will be reliable, well structured, organised and systematic in approach, with the tenacity to deal with the competing demands of the role. You must have the ability to multi-task while keeping priorities clearly in mind.

• Must be at least 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license; have and maintain a driving record clean of any major or numerous offences.
• Must be able to drive to field/customer locations to perform fieldwork.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, SQL, Windows 7, 10 and 11 and network and firewall configurations.
• Must possess an aptitude to learn new technologies.
• The ability to work independently all while keeping others informed of your processes and progress via multiple avenues – including CRM System, email, and/or phone.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic IT or Electronics experience and proficiency in hand tools.is not required but is highly regarded
