Environmental Manager - Contaminated Sites

• $180,000 – $220,000 + bonuses ($20k – $50k) with the right performance reached.
• Manage the full P&L of an existing annual revenue of $2-3M in Brisbane

Contaminated Sites Manager to take leadership of the growth focused Brisbane office of a strong National team of 200 across contaminated land, hazmat / OH, and Geotechnical.

The Brisbane office has a team nearing the 10 mark with licence to hire as there’s immediate project flow to house 15 staff with 2x Team Leads beneath you.

The Role:

• Manage the full P&L of an existing annual revenue of $2-3M in Brisbane
• Your role is to ensure this staff growth occurs & the team shape takes place
• Of course, we need business acumen, someone with a key sense of commerciality and client relations
• Technical Leadership/Review and Client Development support from long term existing staffer who is remote but focussed on Brisbane with you.
• National Manager does not want to hold your hand, if you need help it is absolutely there, but you will not be micro managed!
• Great opportunity to take an existing team with promise and really turn it into something decent with your name on it!

Projects:

• Projects across Light Rail, Pumped Hydro, Utilities, Recycling Facilities, Highways
• Reputable in the PFAS and emerging contaminants field – providing pilot studies and R&D initiatives for various clients (the fun stuff)
• Projects typically involve PFAS / asbestos remediation, Spill Management, Hydrocarbons, waste treatment, acid suplphate soils, erosion sediment.

Requirements:

• Must have 10 years in QLD doing Contaminated Land Management
• Don’t need to be SQP or CEnvP SC – but does push your salary up if you are
• Need to know the key players, pitfalls and traps in the QLD market
• Decent human, able to be kind, nurture, grow, and develop a team
• People management experience
