About us

We are a locally owned and operated equipment hire company. Specialising in EWP and material handling for over a decade, in 2022 we opened a brand new purpose-built general hire branch in Fyshwick to serve our customer base with a great range of new products including everything from hand tools to vehicles, generators, landscaping gear, civil equipment and much more.

 

Who We're Looking For

Asset Construction Hire is currently seeking a customer-facing service attendant to serve both established and new customers at our general hire branch. This includes assisting customers in-person with the selection, operation and loading of equipment, placing bookings via software, managing bookings and the cleaning and maintenance of returned goods. You will be an approachable communicator, flexible, and willing to liaise with other departments of the business in order to achieve your goals.

 

Qualifications & experience

  • Drivers license - Essential
  • Forklift license - Advantageous
  • Former Trades person - Advantageous
  • Hire industry experience - Advantageous
  • Construction industry experience, using tools & equipment - Advantageous

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assisting customers with hire equipment, assisting in the loading of vehicles and demonstrating the safe operation of hire equipment.
  • Creating hire bookings.
  • Receipt of equipment at the completion of the hire.
  • Moving equipment around the branch.
  • Delivering equipment to customers.
  • Providing specifications & data to customers.
  • The ability to work Weekends on a rotating roster (40 hour work week).
  • Cleaning of equipment, function testing of equipment, servicing of equipment.
