Estimator - Commercial Construction

Build Up Recruitment is working with a leading Australian commercial building company renowned for its quality and innovation. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Estimator to join their growing team.

The Role:

In this exciting role, you will play a critical role in the project development process. You will be responsible for:

• Preparing accurate and competitive tenders for new build and refurbishment projects valued up to $20 million.
• Analysing project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine material, labour, and equipment costs.
• Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible pricing.
• Identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of current construction market trends and pricing in Australia.
• Working collaboratively with project managers and architects to ensure project feasibility.

The Ideal Candidate:

• You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Estimator within a head contractor environment.
• You have a proven track record of successfully preparing and delivering tenders for complex commercial projects (new build and refurbishment) valued up to $20 million.
• You are proficient in construction estimating software commonly used in Australia (e.g., Planswift, CostX).
• You have a strong understanding of Australian construction methods, materials, and costs.
• You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You are a meticulous individual with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
