About the Company
Creating and delivering luxury homes across a wide range of designs and specifications in the inner suburbs of Melbourne with projects valuing up to $10m. Our client is known for their commitment to quality, tradition and dependability.

Position Description
As the Estimator you will work together with the Projects administrator to provide tender estimates and additional submission deliverables to ensure the submission of a conforming tender.
Prepare and present pricing for review by the management team for sign off prior to submission.

Final tender submission documentation
Ensure that:
All submitted tenders consider risk management issues such as OH&S, environmental management, industrial relations and quality management issues;
Tenders are achievable within defined parameters (e.g. schedule and budget); and
All tenders or bids are competitive, accurate and of a high standard.
Review all relevant tender documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Process any variations to contract made by the customer.
Report retail margin for all tenders/contracts and variations.
Identify solutions and alternatives to low margin variations and tenders
Production Estimating and Ordering.
Conduct review of all relevant documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Prepare tender packages with appropriate Scope of Works.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in an Estimating role within the domestic custom/high-end build industry. 
Building/Construction Management (minimum Cert IV) and/or Trade qualification.
Thorough understanding of construction process, structural complexity, techniques, terminology and costs.
Ability to read architectural drawings, identify issues and work with others to resolve them.
Strong understanding of workflow stages in the custom home building industry.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to negotiate a win/win outcome.

Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
