Estimator / Scheduler (Energy Solutions)

About the Role

Capstone Air and Solar, a proud member of the Summit Homes Group, is leading the way in innovative air-conditioning and solar solutions. As we continue to grow, we are excited to offer a full-time position for an Estimator/Scheduler to join our dynamic team.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in managing schedules and estimates for air conditioning and solar energy system installations in new home developments. In this role, you'll help shape the future of sustainable energy while overseeing essential planning and coordination, ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include delivering accurate cost estimates, driving project timelines, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure every project is a success.

About You

To thrive in this role, you should be a proven problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges, much like solving a complex puzzle or playing Tetris. Your ability to read plans and interpret technical documents will be invaluable in managing project logistics and ensuring accurate installations.

We are looking for candidates with strong analytical skills and a passion for data-driven decision-making. Candidates with transferable skills from roles such as project management, construction coordination, data analysis, or technical support, especially those with an understanding of residential construction, will find their experience highly relevant.

Excellent computer literacy and attention to detail are essential, as you’ll need to efficiently navigate various software and systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

While previous experience in estimating and/or scheduling within the air conditioning, solar energy, or construction industries is highly regarded, it is not necessary. We welcome candidates with a curious mindset and a desire for continuous improvement.

Where you’ll be working 

This role will be based at our McCoy Street office in Myaree. Located together with the Summit Groups supplier business and near the Summit Homes Group head office. The location is easily accessible by car or public transport and free parking is provided.
