As an Event Support Underwriter, you'll be the face of Shannons at major automotive events while supporting our specialist Motor Enthusiast Underwriting team. Combining sales, customer engagement and underwriting, this is a rare opportunity to build a career where no two weeks look the same.

We're looking for two people to join the team, with a start date of 9 September 2026. Full training will be provided, so if you've got the customer focus, sales experience and enthusiasm, we'll give you the tools to succeed.

What you'll be doing

You'll split your time between attending motoring events across Southeast Queensland and supporting customers over the phone.

You'll:

• Represent Shannons at major motoring events, showroom activations and local car club gatherings.
• Build relationships with motoring enthusiasts and create memorable customer experiences.
• Introduce customers to our specialist insurance products and generate quality sales leads.
• Support our Motor Enthusiast Underwriting team by providing tailored insurance solutions over the phone.
• Work closely with our Events, Marketing and Underwriting teams to bring the Shannons brand to life.

What we're looking for

You'll thrive in this role if you:

• Have experience in sales, retail, customer service, automotive, events or another customer-facing environment.
• Love meeting new people and building genuine relationships.
• Are confident starting conversations and identifying customer needs.
• Have a genuine interest in cars or the motoring community.
• Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Are happy to travel and work a flexible roster, including weekends, as part of our event calendar.

What you need to know

This isn't a traditional Monday to Friday role—and that's part of what makes it so unique.

You'll attend around 50+ motoring events each year, including Supercars, Queensland Raceway, Cooly Rocks On, Shannons Showroom events and local car club events.

Your event schedule is planned around six weeks in advance. Event hours can vary depending on the event, with some events requiring attendance from as early as 5:00am through to 5:00pm. When supporting customers over the phone, your start window will generally be between 8:00am and 11:00am.

Weekend work is balanced with two consecutive weekdays off, and company vehicles are provided for travel to events.
