Company Description
Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.

Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.

Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.

Job Description

Lead and deliver Nine's high-profile trade marketing events program end-to-end for a 12-month parental leave cover, collaborating with key internal brands like Stan and major external partners like Tennis Australia to create exceptional experiences that drive revenue!

In this fast-paced maternity cover role, you will champion the corporate event calendar by steering projects from initial concept through to execution and post-event analysis. It is a brilliant opportunity to make your mark within Australia's largest locally owned media company while keeping diverse stakeholders aligned and engaged.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop creative event concepts, timelines, and budgets that align closely with business goals.

  • Negotiate and manage relationships with venues, caterers, AV production teams, and external suppliers.

  • Oversee all on-site event operations, ensuring logistics, branding, and technical requirements are perfectly executed.

  • Maintain strict control over event expenditures, tracking invoices and ensuring final costs stay within budget.

  • Manage post-event debriefs, collect feedback, compile reports, and process final invoices.

  • Keep stakeholders aligned on priorities while ensuring all events meet safety and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in event management, with a proven track record of running corporate or promotional events end-to-end.

  • Exceptional organisation and project management skills, with the ability to seamlessly handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated experience managing strict budgets, tracking expenditures, and working closely with suppliers.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Solid understanding of event production, including AV, staging, branding, and technical setup.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, remaining calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
