We are seeking an experienced Events Specialist to provide end‑to‑end operational and logistical support across our Anzac Day commemorative activities. You will help deliver multiple concurrent activities involving VIPs, Defence, government stakeholders, volunteers, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring each event is executed to the highest standard.
Full‑Time | 3‑Month Fixed Term Contract
In this role you will:
Develop and maintain event plans, schedules, run sheets, checklists and risk documentation to support seamless delivery.
Coordinate logistics, stakeholders and suppliers across business units, venues and partner organisations.
Lead day‑to‑day planning and execution of events, ensuring operational readiness and high‑quality delivery.
Manage invitations, RSVPs, guest communications and prepare briefing notes, event packs and protocol documentation.
Liaise with Defence protocol contacts, government offices, sponsors and community partners to meet ceremonial and stakeholder expectations.
Assist with volunteer coordination, including role descriptions, rosters and briefing materials.
Supervise on‑site operations, including set‑up, rehearsals, supplier oversight, guest flow, WHS compliance and troubleshooting.
Our expectations are that you have:
Demonstrated experience delivering complex events (multi-stakeholder, high-volume and time-critical).
Proven capability working with VIPs, government offices and Defence/protocol environments.
Strong planning/logistics capability, supplier management and high attention to detail.
Confident written communication (briefing packs, run sheets and correspondence).
Volunteer coordination experience.
Capacity to travel and work flexible hours in the peak period (including early starts, travel and extended days as required).
