The Opportunity:

As a central member of our team, this role will provide high-quality administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership team. This position entails managing the administrative functions associated with the office of the CEO and providing assistance in areas such as finance, governance, human resources, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential executive assistance and manage the administrative functions associated with the office of the CEO.
  • Manage executive emails and diaries, providing high-quality, confidential support.
  • Prepare high-level papers and briefs for executive use in meetings, boards, and committees.
  • Liaise on behalf of the CEO with other managers and staff within the organisation, as well as with public and private sector organisations.
  • Screen telephone calls and written correspondence, redirecting enquiries to relevant staff where appropriate.
  • Support the CEO and Managers in managing organisation and project budgets and costings, milestones and contractual obligations. 
  • Assist with matters related to human resources, governance, risk, and advocacy.

About You:

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and professional individual to join us in this crucial role. You are someone who understands your responsibilities and takes initiative. You recognise the significance of Winanga-Li in the community and consider the broader impact of your work on the big picture issues.

To be considered, you will need:

  • Cert IV in Business Administration or equivalent, and/or relevant demonstrated experience in providing executive-level administrative support.
  • A demonstrated range of secretarial skills, including effective minute-taking, word processing, spreadsheet use, and electronic communication, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, along with advanced organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, handle high workloads, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact effectively as part of a small team and build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to prioritise projects, and willingness to work outside business hours, including weekends, when required.
  • Cultural competence and experience working within Indigenous settings and stakeholder groups.
