About Us

Inner West Community Foundation trading as Local Impact is a not-for-profit, community association.

The key purpose of Local Impact is to develop and support programs, projects and social enterprises to help connect, support and sustain the communities of Melbourne’s Inner West.

About the role

We seek a professional, motivated, well-organised, self-directed and community-oriented person to support a broad range of company secretariat, compliance, and administrative functions for a group of Social Enterprises and community focused companies.

This role is highly varied with the opportunity to be involved in all areas of the business. You will work within a small, supportive and friendly team in Yarraville, Melbourne.

Key duties and Responsibilities 

The responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to; 

  • Providing high level executive administrative support to Board Chair, CEO and executive team, including meeting co-ordination, diary management, oversight of executive tasks.
  • Preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and other papers requiring board approval. Follow up and coordination of action items.
  • Collaboration with the executive team to drive and deliver on key projects that aim to introduce or improve existing processes, systems, service, throughout the business.
  • Collaboration with all teams and divisions, promoting cross department problem solving and rapport building throughout.
  • Management and execution of the corporate calendar
  • Oversight and management of mandatory reporting to external bodies such as ATO, ASIC, Consumer Affairs, as well as key liaison with external stakeholders
  • HR management tasks
  • Coordination and management of events, both internally and externally, eg AGM, staff functions etc
  • Ad hoc administration support for the broader support functions.

Key Attributes 

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role.
  • Mature, professional, and adaptable.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, SharePoint, and Presentation software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft formal correspondence, as well as build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Company Secretary experience preferred
