We have an opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team and you will be an important ingredient in our Club’s success, the Club is about to commence major renovations which will see a brand new Kitchen and Restaurant along with a brand new large Cafe. As an Executive Chef, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, leadership skills, and culinary expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You’ll be working closely with our Group Food and Beverage Manager to drive the performance of our kitchen team and deliver memorable and delicious food across our multiple food outlets.

As you'd expect, you'll need to be in our kitchen at peak hours so you should expect to work weekends and evenings.

About the role

• Lead and inspire a team of culinary professionals to achieve culinary excellence and consistently exceed our members expectations
• Design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and the preferences of our members
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety standards
• Foster a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning among kitchen team members to promote growth and development
• Control costs, maximise profitability, and maintain high standards of quality and consistency

About you

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, multi-outlet establishment
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognised culinary institution
• Extensive knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and flavour profiles
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Passion for excellence, innovation, and delivering unparalleled culinary experiences
• Experienced in managing a cohesive team
• Demonstrated experience in creation of menus
• Experience with stock takes, stock ordering, rostering and maintaining budgets
• Strong communication skills with the ability to unite front and back of house teams to collaborate in delivering exceptional customer experiences
• A high standard of grooming and presentation
