  • Hiring an Executive Chef for a creative role with a limited number of functions per week.

This position requires relocation to the Southern Tablelands in NSW.

Venue

The venue primarily hosts private, high-end functions and weddings, with a limited number of events each week.

This is a renowned destination venue where guests enjoy fine dining while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings.

The company is not only renowned for looking after their guests but also their staff and providing them with the necessary tools to strive for greatness.

The Kitchens

There is a fully equipped commercial kitchen tailored to the delivery of fine dining experience, with all the toys a chef could want. There is also a vegetable garden grown on site and they work with local suppliers to make sure locally sourced produce is included.

A limited number of weddings are catered to across the year along with internal events that support the brand and promotion of the restaurant.

There is an element of private dinners for guests as well as a café (fully staffed) to look over and assist with menu design.

The Role

The client seeks an individual with a technical background who has progressed from Sous Chef to Head Chef, or an existing Head Chef looking for a change of scenery.

What the client is looking for:

  • Hatted or Michelin experience and experience with open fire / charcoal cooking preferred.
  • Someone who has a drive for excellence and wants to push the boundaries with cooking from their own vegetable garden.
  • Good mentor or guidance with his team (around 5 chefs on the team).
  • Problem solver and dynamic.
  • Someone who has experience in large / high volume venues.
  • Knows how to maintain rapport and positive culture in the kitchen.
  • Good at maintaining systems and structures that are in place.
  • Hands on in the kitchen (60% hands on, 40% admin).
  • Solid skills in menu design and execution.
  • Can communicate with function coordinators and management.
