Talenting is partnering with the Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing (CWSW), Western Australia’s peak body advancing women’s safety and family and domestic violence reform, to recruit the inaugural Executive Director for its newly funded Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Workforce Entity.

What is this opportunity?

CWSW and their consortium partners have been funded by the WA Government to establish a new FDV Workforce Entity \- a major statewide initiative designed to strengthen workforce capability and support the implementation of system\-wide reforms across Western Australia.

This is a rare opportunity to lead the establishment of a high\-impact new service from the ground up, shaping its strategy, culture, partnerships and early delivery.

Why does this role matter?

The Executive Director is the key foundational appointment and will be accountable for ensuring the Entity delivers on its mandate to support a safer, stronger and more sustainable FDV workforce across the state.

What will you be responsible for?

As Executive Director, you will lead the establishment and delivery of the Entity, providing strategic, operational and cultural leadership to ensure it fulfils its statewide mandate to strengthen workforce capability and support major system reform across WA.

You will:

  • Lead the stand\-up and ongoing delivery of the Entity, shaping its strategy, operations and organisational culture

  • Provide strong governance and executive leadership, reporting to the Operational Steering Group and advising the Governance Board

  • Build and sustain high\-trust partnerships across government, specialist FDV services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, peaks, training providers and research institutions

  • Oversee delivery across the Entity’s core functions, including capability building, workforce planning and system stewardship

  • Ensure high\-quality implementation, continuous improvement and evidence\-based practice across all initiatives

  • Maintain accountability for budget management, contracts, risk oversight and compliance obligations

  • Champion culturally responsive, trauma\-informed leadership and support Aboriginal self\-determination across the Entity’s work

  • Advocate for long\-term workforce sustainability and influence policy and investment through data, sector insight and reform leadership

How to apply?

Submitting your application is easy! All you need to do is submit the following documents as PDFs:

  • a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) telling us why you would be a great fit for this role.

  • a resume including your contact details, education, previous work, and experience, and the names of at least two current referees.

The closing date is 1 March 2026. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and an appointment may be made prior to the closing date, so don't delay!

Requirements

What we are looking for?

You will bring:
