The Position
Jewish Care has a long history of providing excellence in care and support services, underpinned by Jewish values for the community that is served.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director, Residential Aged Care (ED RACs), will provide strategic and operational leadership to residential aged care operations, ensuring the delivery of high quality care and services that contribute to the wellbeing, independence, dignity and safety of residents. Providing inspirational leadership to a passionate and committed team across multiple sites, the ED RAC will ensure the division responds to the changing needs of the clients, funding and regulatory environments. With a strong focus on commercial and financial outcomes, the ED RAC will also lead residential aged care projects, hospitality services, lifestyle and dementia programs and broader residential services.
The ED, RAC will be a contemporary, supportive and collaborative leader, who empowers teams and creates an environment that allows people to shine, supporting their development and growth. With previous experience as a Senior Leader and extensive health management experience, the incumbent will also display a high degree of financial acumen, with the ability to navigate complexity.
The ED RAC will have a deep understanding of clinical management and governance and experience in leading change to support improved efficiency and excellence in service delivery. Tertiary qualifications in nursing, health management or related discipline will be essential.
The delivery of quality services and customer excellence, underpinned by the values of Jewish Care, will be key to success.
The Organisation
Over 1000 Jewish Care Victoria employees and 350 volunteers enrich the lives of over 6,000 people each year, by providing vital supports and services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, unemployment, emotional and financial difficulties, mental health conditions, and people living with a disability. The organisation also provides professional and culturally sensitive person-centred community and residential aged care that empowers seniors to remain healthy, independent, and connected to the community.
