Proactive Health is a national ecosystem of over 40 allied health businesses across 350+ locations in Australia. We unite independent clinic owners under a shared commitment to clinical excellence — providing the governance, development infrastructure, and operational support of a large network while preserving the personalised, community-driven care that smaller practices do best.
Our clinics operate as genuine multidisciplinary teams. Exercise physiologists work alongside physiotherapists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers — not just sharing a building, but actively coordinating care and learning from each other every day.
We service clients across DVA, Medicare (EPC), NDIS, Home Care Packages, private health, and workers' compensation — giving our EPs one of the most diverse and clinically rich caseloads in the profession.
About This Clinic — Box Hill
The Box Hill clinic is based inside a Goodlife Health & Fitness club — a large, modern facility with outstanding equipment and a genuinely great environment to deliver exercise physiology in. You have a full gym at your fingertips, which means the tools to program properly and the space to run everything from one-on-one rehab to functional strength work.
This is an established practice with a loyal, engaged patient base and a strong reputation for personalised, considered care. You will step into an existing caseload with relationships and referral pathways already in place — this is a handover, not a cold start.
There is also genuine room to grow. The foundations are set, and the right EP will have the autonomy to build on them — broadening the caseload, developing new referral relationships, and shaping the service around where they want to take their clinical career. Box Hill is a role for someone who wants a stable base and the freedom to grow it.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Exercise physiology is a profession with enormous scope — but too many roles narrow it down to one funding stream, one patient demographic, and one way of working. This role is different.
From day one you inherit an established caseload, so you are treating and building from your first week rather than waiting for a book to fill. You will design and deliver individualised programs for people managing chronic conditions, recovering from surgery, building functional capacity after injury, navigating the NDIS, or simply working to stay mobile and independent as they age. Your clinical reasoning will be tested and developed — not dulled by repetition.
DVA is a significant and deeply rewarding part of the work here. You will support veterans across a wide range of presentations — from chronic musculoskeletal pain and cardiovascular conditions to deconditioning and complex multi-morbidity. These are patients who deserve thorough, considered care, and DVA's no-gap funding model means you have the time and resources to deliver it properly. Alongside that established veteran base, there is real appetite to broaden into NDIS, Medicare, sports-focused and younger client work — so a self-starter has a clear runway to diversify the caseload and make the region their own.
What Your Week Actually Looks Like
No two weeks are identical, and that is the point. A typical day might open with an initial assessment for a DVA client managing chronic musculoskeletal pain, move into individual sessions making full use of the Goodlife gym floor, and include a home visit for a Home Care Package client working on functional mobility. You will run one-on-one and small group work, collaborate with physiotherapists and dietitians across the network on shared clients, and spend time out in the community building the referral relationships that grow the book.
You manage your own schedule with genuine autonomy over routing, timing, and patient flow. The variety keeps your skills broad, your weeks engaging, and your clinical growth constant.
