Experienced Accounts Assistant - Urgent Position

The Role

A fantastic opportunity exists for a motivated, detail orientated and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our team and assist with Accounts Receivable/Payable and end of month functions and looking for that next step in their accounting career. 

Based in the Wetherill Park office and reporting to the National Operations Manager  this is a Full-time role. This is not a hybrid or WFH role. 

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of daily transactions within the accounting system.
• Assist with processing and reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments.
• Send invoices, credit notes, and statements to customers.
• Process supplier invoices, ensure timely payment, and reconcile supplier statements accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including filing and data entry.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve any issues or disputes related to customers and suppliers.
• Conduct credit checks and trade reference checks for new customer accounts.
• Maintain assets register & PPSR registrations.
• Assisting with preparation of monthly reporting packs
• Assisting with budget and cashflow preparation.
• Other ad hoc accounts and administration duties as requested.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude coupled with the drive and determination to succeed, plus be able to demonstrate:

• A minimum of three years relevant experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Solutions driven with the energy to think outside the box
• Strong desire to learn and develop your skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software – MYOB, Xero is advantageous.
• Concern for quality combined with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Well organized with the ability to plan, multi-task, organise time and enforce deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate on all business levels.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
