Expressions of Interest - Stanmore Vacation Program

Stanmore is an Australian resources company with operations and exploration projects in the Bowen and Surat Basins. We are looking for enthusiastic tertiary students who want an amazing opportunity to build relationships and learn from resource industry experts in your chosen field.  

If you are a 2nd, 3rd of 4th year tertiary student studying any of the following: 

• Mechanical Engineering
• Mining Engineering
• Civil Engineering 
• Mine Survey 
• Metallurical/ Process/ Chemical Engineering

and are keen to gain some work experience at a Metallurgical coal mine, register your interest for our vacation program now!

Essential requirements

• The ability to work independently as well as in part of a team environment
• Positive attitude 
• Flexible, enthusiastic and keen to learn
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Unlimited working rights in Australia 
• A valid Australian driver's license
• Available to commit to working on one of our mine sites during the end of year break (roughly 3 months)

• Camp accommodation including all meals, on site gym, pool etc.
• Uniforms and PPE provided at no cost.
• Flights at the beginning and end of the program to Mackay/Moranbah.
• 12-week full-time paid program (Monday to Friday)

Placements will commence in November 2025 through to February 2026.
