Your new company
Exciting new opportunity for a help desk support officer to join a state government agency who works within the emergency services division. This role is based out of Bayswater and will be for a duration of 6 months minimum with the potential to be extended.
Your new role In your new role as a facilities help desk support officer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, recording, and assigning issues relating to operational communications equipment.
The main responsibilities include:
- Responding to telephone and email queries as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare and provide regular reports on service requests, compliance and preventative maintenance activities, which may include research, sourcing and analysing information.
- Accurately log and record any issues to the help desk software and assign the issue through appropriate channel
- Ordering relevant equipment
- Raise purchase orders using SAP system
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with relevant vendors and service providers
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have demonstrated experience in a similar role
- ITIL Foundation certificate (desirable)
- Experience using ticketing system (desirable)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail is key.
- Ability to determine the urgency of issues and prioritise
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
