About the role: 
As this organization embarks on an exciting growth phase, they are seeking a facilities/maintenance manager based in the Geelong region for a newly acquired contract! A mixed role whereby you will be coordinating external vendors and contractors for reactive and preventative maintenance needs, but also assisting with general, basic hands-on maintenance as required. Have a dynamic role across a portfolio of commercial and industrial sites, across a full range of essential services.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the vendor agreements and contracts across a full range of essential services including compliance, Fire Systems, HVAC, UPS etc.
  • Liaising with the client and regularly reporting back concerning deliverables and contract performance, improvement of service delivery and vendor performance.
  • Being operationally oriented to provide support to the client onsite at the commercial head office and across their portfolio of sites.
  • Managing the CMMS in relation to work orders and ensuring requests are responded to promptly in line with KPI’s
  • Carrying out general administration, including invoicing, service and contract reporting and financial reporting
  • Site inspections and carrying out basic, hands-on maintenance duties as required (such as general handyman works)

Skills and Qualifications:
  • You will be an enthusiastic, customer-oriented Facilities Management or Maintenance professional who has good administration and commercial acumen with at least five years of experience in the industry.
  • A trade/maintenance background and a willingness to perform basic hands-on maintenance requests will be highly preferential.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide direction to contractors and ensure effective delivery.
  • A customer-excellence approach around service delivery and KPI’s will see you excel.
  • Resilience and a 'can-do' attitude with superior organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure and problem-solve effectively.
