KG Talent is recruiting a Factory Manager on behalf of a leading Australian manufacturer of steel building products based in Toowoomba.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows manufacturing, enjoys working closely with their team and takes pride in running a safe, efficient and productive factory.

You’ll oversee daily factory operations, keep production on track and make sure the team has what it needs to deliver quality products on time.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee daily factory operations and production schedules
• Lead, coach and support the factory team
• Keep production running safely, efficiently and to plan
• Monitor output, quality, workflow and deadlines
• Drive workplace health and safety standards
• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and production priorities
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime and waste
• Ensure products meet quality requirements
• Work closely with warehouse, sales and transport teams to meet customer commitments
• Address production issues and keep jobs moving
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-run factory

About you

You’re a practical, organised leader who leads by example and knows how to get the best out of a team.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in factory management, production supervision or manufacturing leadership
• Strong people leadership and communication skills
• Understanding of production planning, workflow and quality control
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• The ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems
• A focus on productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement
• A hands-on approach and the confidence to make decisions

Experience in steel manufacturing, roll forming or building products will be highly regarded.
