Your Role as Family Support Worker
As a Family Support Worker you will The Family Support Worker provides flexible supports to parents through one-on-one support, group facilitation and parenting programs.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting and assisting parents to achieve their goals.
Providing information, resources and referral pathways for parents.
Facilitating, organising and at times providing transport for parents to attend appointments related to the program.
Keeping appropriate, accurate and professional case management notes that can be submitted as admissible documents.
Implementing assessment procedures and protocols in line with the Program requirements.
With consent from the client, providing relevant information and reports to others in the client’s stakeholder system.
As appropriate ensuring the safety of the client and others.
This is a fixed-term position until the 30/06/2027. The role is part-time consists of 20.5 hours per week.

What We’re Looking For
Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant direct experience working with young people in a complex service environment.
Ability to support vulnerable children and families with complex needs using a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally safe approach.
Advanced skills in formal report writing as well as s high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!
Experience using case management principles within a strengths-based, holistic framework and client centred framework.
Experience in planning, developing and facilitating parenting programs/group work.
Essential Requirements
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work.
